Children’s Objectives

1.   Say the Lord’s Prayer and Golden Rule (Luke 6:31)

2.   Understand that praying to God can occur at any time and place in his/her daily life.

3.   Relate Bible stories to daily life

4.   Identify self with characters in the Bible

5.   Identify Worship areas in the sanctuary

6.   Discuss how Baptism has made him/her a child of God

7.   Discuss saving purposes and love of God through Jesus Christ

Parents’ Guidelines

1.   At Worship, assist child in following service by pointing to words in the service books/folders

2.   Help child to see that Biblical story relates to their own lives

For example:

·     Ask child to describe characters in the story and how they are like us today

      3.   Sing the hymns and encourage your child to sing along
