The Lord be with you!  Welcome to Nurturing Faith from Roots and Wings of the Virginia Synod.  These bulletin inserts provide Scripture readings, petitions for prayer, and suggestions for nurturing the faith within our families.  The inserts are designed for you to use and adapt to fit your congregation’s needs.  If you would prefer different Scripture readings (which are loosely based on the Daily Lectionary), if you have a local concern that needs to be lifted up in prayer, or if you have an activity more suited for your congregation, please feel free to change any part of this insert. 

In my own congregation, I include four to five families (listed straight from the directory) after the petition for each day, so that over the course of a couple of months, we will have prayed for everyone in the congregation. 

I welcome suggestions, ideas, and ways to improve these bulletin inserts.  I pray that they are a blessing to your congregation and homes.
